Hello friends and welcome to The Midlife. If you were to ask me to boil down what I do for women into one sentence, it would be to get you to stop doing things that don’t serve you and to help you fill your precious time on this earth with activities, goals and pursuits that are fun and meaningful. Never once have those conversations caused me to suggest that you should be drinking more alcohol.
My guests today are Holly and Megan, founders of Dry Together. Dry Together hosts community events and conversation for midlife moms, where coping and connection don’t revolve around alcohol.
We had a very honest chat about the role of alcohol in women’s lives as both anesthesia and social construct.
But before we get to that conversation, some news. Did you know you can go through my program Midlife Re•Imagined, Design Your Next Best Chapter at your own pace? For the price of a book and a workbook, you get all my videos and worksheets to work through the 7 week program on your own timetable. Just head to themidlife.co to read more about it and grab the program.
If you know you need my handholding to make progress, I am taking a select number of one on one clients to privately shepherd through the program. You can email me at kimberly@themidlife.co if you’d like to discuss that option.
Now, here’s my conversation with Holly and Megan. [NO TRANSCRIPT]
Look, if some of this conversation hit home for you, I don’t want you to feel badly, I want you to feel inspired. I want you to know you’re not the first woman to feel this way and I want you to know that you have the support of the community Holly & Megan have built at Dry Together to check out how it feels to live a life without alcohol or greatly reduced. And then when you have all that energy and clarity, you have me to help you craft a plan to live a life you deserve, a life you love.
